Ryan stood by the curb of the pool, wearing his blue swimming trunks, staring into the calm water. There was nobody else at the pool, oddly. He checked his watch and sighed. About two more hours until the pool closed for the three hours it was normally open. Taking off his watch, Ryan tossed it aside into the pile where his clothes were.
Taking a deep breath, he ran toward the water and jumped into the air at the last moment, landing in the water with a loud SPLASH! As the cold water enclosed him, he surfaced, smiling. A great afternoon to him was a nice, refreshing swim... and spending some time with October. Boy, did he sound like a stalker. But that wasn't the case, he thought. October was his adopted sister. She was almost like Shawn's replacement. Keyword: almost.
And at the same time, Ryan felt more for October. Feelings that were wrong and forbidden between siblings.. heck, forbidden between family in general. "It isn't right." he muttered.

October stared down at her hands as she walked. She was thinking. Well she was looking rather. For Ryan. She had seen him earlier that day but now he was nowhere to be found. She had been looking for him for a good fifteen minutes until sh heard a huge splash coming from the pool. For some reason she just had a feeling that it was Ryan. She looked both ways of the path and crossed before a group of girls walked by. Coming up to the gate she peered in past the brush and scattered tree surrounding the putter limits of the fenced off area. She saw Ryan wading in the pool. A slight smile came to her face.
Undoing the latch she opened up the gate and entered the pool area. She walked up slowly to the pile where his clothes resided and stopped. "Hey Ry." she said softly, "Going for a swim I see. Mind if I join?" Toby grinned and kicked off her flip flops. Upon doing so she walked over to the pool and dipped her foot it. She quickly removed it and shivered. "It's not really as cold as I think it is, is it?" she asked.
October turned around walked walked back to where her brothers clothes were then the removed her shirt to reveal a black bikini and then tossed the shirt down onto her flip flops. She reached down and undid her jean shorts and let them fall to the ground so she could kick them off. She picked them up and folded them and placed them on top of her shirt. She turned back around to Ryan and smirked. "After all that, I don't know that I still want to get in." she said with a small laugh.

Ryan looked up as October showed up. "Hi, Toby. And uh, sure you can join. No law against that, right?" Toby stuck her foot in the water and shivered. Ryan laughed, "Is it really that cold?" Of course, Ryan didn't feel the cold water. His power helped him. It made him immune to the cold. In other words, he felt warm right now even if the water should have been dropping his body temperature and freezing his body heat. Then, Toby proceeded to take off her clothes, revealing her bikini. *Oh, fuck.* he thought as he watched her undress. It was normal but given that lately Ryan had been thinking differently of October... well, let's just say that watching her undress made him feel like a stalker. He suddenly frowned when he remembered that she could read his thoughts. Crap.
Forcing himself to be calm, he hoped that Toby didn't notice that he was forcefully looking anywhere but her bikini-clad body. If only he could be put in jail for being a typical teenage pervert. The only thing not typical about this was that Toby was his sister. The fact made the situation worse by ten thousand.
Hearing her statement, he laughed along with her, smirking in that obnoxious way of his, "Oh? So you want to stand there in a bikini and be mistaken for a swimsuit model?" He chuckled and shrugged innocently, "It's actually warm in here. To me, at least. You know, 'cause my powers allow me to withstand the cold. Lucky me." He smirked again, daring her to be jealous. Daring her to come into the pool and try to out-withstand him in the freezing water. His mischievously lit eyes held another meaning, though. A meaning that she couldn't possibly read. He was taking advantage of her. Her silky brown hair, long and sleek. Her skin, soft to the touch and nearly flawless. *No. Stop. Please, stop.* he thought to himself. Go no further. He really hoped she wasn't probing his mind. If she was.... well then, fuck.

Toby grinned at her brothers comment. "Hmm, I don't really know. I haven't checked the law books lately." she said sarcastically. A swim was much needed. October had been out near the fields with a few friends doing random things. Taking pictures, making dancing videos, and just being girls doing girl things. But all that goofing off made her want to cool down a bit and just relax. Plus it would be a good time to just hang out with her brother and maybe see if her knows who this boy was who she saw staring at her today in the fields. With all this on her mind she barely had time to pay attention and actually tune into what others were thinking around her. Including Ryan. You see her power wasn't exactly something she could shut off but it could be silenced.
"Oh, do I really?!" Toby replied excitedly. She began to act like she was posing in sexy potions like all those girls in those fashion magazines. She laughed slightly and shook her head. "I bet you I look like an idiot, hmm?" she added. Shrugging it off she stepped closer to the edge of the pool and dipped her foot in one more time. "Oh well I guess you're right. Wrong person to ask." Toby said. She slowly inched herself down to sit on the concrete and swung her feet over the side into the cool water. She got that look on her face that she usually got when she was thinking or making a decision.
"Oh, hmm. It's not that bad. But then again it's my legs." It was said with one of those famous smirks of hers. The one that wasn't mistakable for anyone else. Glancing around the pool area she noticed the serious lack of people. She looked up to the sun. It was hot out so it was amazing that they were the only two there. Then again there was only about forty five minutes left out of the three hours. "So, what have you been up to all day?" she asked.

Ryan shrugged, "You know me. I just slept around all day. And then I had the urge to go to the pool and talk to my sister." His tone was obviously joking. Then he stated bluntly, "But really. I was sleeping in until like...... two hours ago." He chuckled a bit and dived back underwater, deciding to play a trick on Toby.
Holding his breath, he swam until he was about 2 feet away from her dangling legs. Concentrating, he manipulated the water to turn a few degrees colder to the point where it started freezing. The water would actually catch Toby's legs but not if she jumped out first.
Scampering out of the pool, Ryan smirked as the whole pool froze over, the last remaining spots of unfrozen pool water being turned to ice instantly. Quickly, he rushed over to where Toby was and yanked her out of the water - which had thankfully not been frozen on her end yet -, laughing. "Sorry -- I just -- had to!" he explained in between his laughing fits. Once he was done laughing and having his share of amusement, he quickly pinned her arms to her side before she could slap him, smirking.
Chuckling one last time, Ryan let go of his hold on her arms, feeling disappointed when he had to break contact with her soft, delicate skin. Walking back over to the curb of the pool, he knelt down and placed his hand on the thin layer of ice on top of the water. Instantly, the ice began to melt into water again and the pool went back to its normal temperature. Ryan lowered himself into the pool and dived underwater, resurfacing halfway to the opposite end. "Come on, Toby! Get in the pool! I promise I won't freeze it again!" he said humorously.

"So basically we come to camp to have fun and you sleep the whole time? What good of a use is that?" she replied and the kicked her leg to splash him with water. She laughed softly and shook her head. "You can do that at home. Ry, you need to have some fun!" she added. October rolled her eyes and smirked a bit.
Toby looked around again, not noticing what Ryan was doing. If she had though she would have jumped out or tried to hurt him. Trying to freeze her legs in the pool. See this was exactly why she didn't know if she wanted to get in. Ryan was always up to something. That was just what he did. Though it would sometimes make October mad she would get over it with in a matter of seconds. As she looked about she watched as Ryan scurried out of the water. The next thing she knew she was being pulled from the pool and up onto the concrete.
"Ryan!" she yelled as he pinned her arms to her sides. Gosh he was so smart. He knew her better then anything or anyone. It was funny, she was the mind reader but yet she knew everything she was going to to just before she did it. It was somethin'! "You're so...ugh!" she said. October shook her head and then smiled. "I hate you." she added jokingly. Right as he left go of her arms she reached up and smacked him on the side of the head. Not too hard but just hard enough to make his head shift. She quickly laughed and stuck out her tongue playfully.
As he unfroze the pool, Toby walked over and picked up her cell phone to check the time. Turning back around she saw her brother back at the other end of the pool where he was the first time. "Mmmm, I don't know if I should trust you. You might pull a fast one on me." she replied. "Give me one good reason why I should."
