Ashleigh Nicole Perez has been living in this state for about six months now, but is fairly new to this camp. She lived in Australia but ran here from her vampire father. Yep, that's right, Ashleigh was a hybrid. Her mother was human and her father vampire. She has been on this earth for over 70 years now but she stopped aging at the ripe age of nineteen. She is looking to try and fit in because, being hybrid, she was neither accepted with the vampires or humans back home and the other supernaturals only looked at her as a freak, which was another reason why she was here at this camp.
It was about 9 o'clock at night and all was quiet on the camp, that is except for Ashleigh. Being part vampire, she felt comfortable at night, and it was more relaxing. She found herself roaming the campgrounds and she eventually came upon the rec rooms. Pushing open one of the doors she looked around and there seemed to be no one there. That was probably because they were cut off at night, but that wasn't about to stop Ash. She walked in and seen a few things to entertain the people here, pool tables, foose ball, ect. But Ash walked over to one of the book shelves and looked for anything that might seen interesting to her. Picking up a book she walked over to one of the couches.
Ashleigh sat down in her tank top and sweat pants and she pulled her knees to her chest comfortably and turned a few pages in the book to begin reading. The book was see Jane die, a mystery book that Ashleigh has read many times before. She loved the book and even though she knew what was going to happen, she still enjoyed the plot.
Shortly after she thought she heard someone outside but paid no mind.

He liked the day. He could see in the daylight. Like flowers and butterflies. He didn’t see that at night. The moon was great and he loved nature but everything looked better in the light. The moons dim light didn’t really show him where he was going. Walking barefoot in the forest like he was, not such a good idea on his part. He didn't really understand why he was walking about at night. He was getting ready to fall over from exhaustion, but still he was walking about aimlessly in the dark. It wasn’t one of his better ideas but what else was he going to do when he couldn’t sleep? His parents were always on his mind. So were all the friends they had bailed on him but that was a different story. He was getting over them and finding his happy place again. He had been thinking a lot about his parents though. He wondered how they were and if they missed him as much as he missed them. They were so far away from him now. He was having a great time at camp and couldn’t wait to meet new friends and even other elves like himself, but when it came to night, he never found a way to sleep and always found himself wondering around. Aimlessly to say the least. He was still finding his way around camp and at night wasn’t really the best time to do that. He really wished he had a cigarette. he wasn't a hard core smoker, but he did when he was stressed. not the best way to deal with stuff but it helped.
He saw that the rec. room was open. He walked him not thinking anyone would be in there this late at night and he could sleep on the couch or something. If he could get to sleep... that hadn’t really work earlier tonight, but maybe after this walk he could sleep though the rest of the night. The night wasn’t really his favorite time of day, being a light elf and all. But he stopped when he saw that there was a girl with blond hair sitting there. She seemed to be reading a book but he only saw her back. And even though it was just her back she seemed to be very quite pretty. He didn’t want to disturb her if she was trying to concentrate. She seemed into whatever she was doing. He coughed without meaning to. *crap* he thought to himself. This was what he was trying not to do, make himself look like a dork. But it was okay because he didn’t care what people thought of him anymore. He was going to be his happy, talkative, bubbly self. “Umm... hey, I’m Sean.” He said scratching the back of his head. The words felt so stupid coming out of his mouth but he hid it with the giant grin on his face. He always had one to spare. She didn’t seem mean and he was trying to meet new people so he guessed this would be a good place to start. Right?

Ashleigh tried to read her book, but with her vampire senses kicking in, she could only concentrate what was going on right outside of the rec room that she was in. Ash kept her head down looking at the clump of words in the book in front of her. She was hoping that a counselor wasn't outside because she would for sure get into some trouble for being here after dark. She wondered if it were a counselor, that would she be able to play the vampire card and say she couldn't sleep or the night destressed her? She would surely have to try that excuse one of these days, just to see what they said.
But for now, she heard some foot steps come into the room, "I know you're here." She said right before she heard the cough. Ashleigh closed her book gently and sat it on the coffee table in front of her. Smiling, she adjusted her body to where she can see who came in. Her eyes fell upon a boy, he was thin, had some pretty cool hair, so she thought. And he looked to be taller than she was and well to put it out there, he looked nice. He was smiling and then she heard him say his name. "Hey, I'm Ashleigh." She said as she looked around. She noticed that the door was still open and she looked back up to the boy, "I don't mean to sound pushy, but Sean, could you please close the door, I really don't want to deal with the counselors if one comes by." She said as she put on a friendly smile. Ashleigh was a nice girl, friends came naturally to her, she was well liked and was a down to earth girl, but at times, like anybody, she could come off with a temper and a bit mean. Though she never meant it intentionally. "So what brings you out tonight?" She asked him as she stood up to go put the book she was reading back where she found it.

This place was mostly empty at this time of night. Most people were in their bunks, sleeping and what not. She was so pretty even if she did sound irritated that he was there. He didn’t really know what to say to her. He was so caught up in his thoughts just a second ago and wasn’t really thinking about seeing anyone. Close the door is what he heard but he forgot how to make his feet work. It took a minute but he did go to close the door when his feet stared listening. He didn’t really want to deal with the counselors either. They had never really bothered him before and he didn’t want to start getting in trouble now. Why was he here? He didn’t really know how to answer that question. He didn’t think anyone would be here and maybe sleep here tonight because his own bunk was to lonely. He thought that maybe being out in the middle of the forest would be less lonely but he was wrong. It was more empty and less nosy. “Ummmm… I don’t really know what brings me here. I was just kind of wondering around and saw the rec. room… I didn’t think that anyone would be in here. If you want I could leave.” He didn’t really want to but he also didn’t want to be rude. He also didn’t know if he could find his way back in the dark again. It wasn’t so easy to see out there. He wondered what book she was reading when she went to put it away. “What book was that?” he couldn’t hold back. He was so nosy when it came to that sort of thing. He noticed that Ashleigh had a really pretty smile and wanted to see it again but he wasn’t really one to be funny. He moved slight closer to her but there was still quite a lot of space between them. Sean really didn’t know what he was doing. Not just here but in general. He normally didn’t really think too many girls were pretty. He was more into guys but girls were nice to.

Ashleigh smiled when she seen Sean standing before her for a little bit before moving to the door. As she watched him finally move toward the door, she couldn't help but think of how awkward looking he seemed to be in front of her. Though it was quite cute, he had the charm that you couldn't help but notice. As she thought back to how she was talking to him, she realized that she may have sounded like she was being a bit snobbish, thought she didn't mean to come off that way. She would be sure to apologize later, or at least let him know one way or another that she was really a nice girl.
Ashleigh moved a little closer to Sean and she looked up at him when he started telling her about why he was out, she smiled when he said he was just wondering around, "That was basically how I wound up here as well, I just went for a walk and well here I am." She said as she laughed a little bit. He asked her what book she was reading when she had put it back on the shelf. She seen him move a bit closer to her and she didn't mind. She loved having company, though her vampire instincts were sharp right now. She didn't need blood as much as full fledge vampires, but she had to settle with a little blood. She could sort of hear his pulse, but she pushed that aside, she wasn't about to ask for him to let her suck on him. "Oh, it was a book called See Jane Die, its a murder mystery with a lot of twists in it." She said as she started to describe the book. "I've read it plenty of times before, but the plot never gets old. It's a good book to read." She said as she looked over to the book shelf and then back to him.

It sounded interesting, but he knew he would never get around to reading it. He wasn't big on reading like he should have been. He liked being outside soaking up all the sun he could. Sitting inside reading books just didn't really appeal to him. Even if he read the book outside, he much rather be on a walk or up doing something. He was active and loved moving and seeing people. It was something he did every day. It was what he enjoyed doing. He smiled at the girl when she finished explaining about the book. " Well, it sounds very interesting." He replied to her. And he meant it, just wasn't going to be reading it any time soon. He was looking her right in her bright blue eyes when he said this. almost captivated by them. It was weird that he was looking in her eyes. With most people he looked around the room or at their mouth or left ear while he was talking to them. Never in the eyes, but this Ashleigh girl was different.
Sean looked around the room some more trying to think of something to talk about. This never happened to him. He always had something to say. He talked all the time. Yeah, sure, some would call him obnoxious and what not, but he didn't really mind any more. It was who he was, and that just wasn't going to change. "So are you new to camp? I am... kind of." Great, now he was rambling. Never a good thing for him. "I found my way around pretty quickly. Making friends and such? It's nice here don't you think so? Yeah so I'm just ummm... going to umm... go now. You look like you're busy. I shouldn't be bothering you like this." He knew he was rambling. and he knew that once he started he wasn't going to stop until someone made him. "I'm sorry that I barged in on you like this, I never do that. Oh, and wow look at thins now I'm just going on and on and on and on. Your annoyed and I should go. Sorry again. I'll see you around. Bye!" Sean said before turning around and heading toward the door. He walked slowly though. Just to see if maybe she would say anything even though he probably didn't really want to hear what it would be. He made an ass out of him self. Again. He seemed to be doing that a lot lately. and rambling didn't help much. He could be such a loser sometimes. But in a good way...?
