Gabe had told her to meet him outside of her cabin so there she was. He had caught her when she had assumed she was going to turn in early, so she was still in her pj's. She grabbed her chucks from beneath her bed, pushing her diary deeper between her mattress and the frame of the bed. She'd lose her mind if someone read her diary. Old camp secret she'd found out her first year; hide anything valuable between your mattress. She grabbed the white ribbon from around the leg of her bed and pulled her hair back. They weren't actually going on a hike or anything, but she didn't want to bother with something as trivial as her hair. She smiled to herself, starting to hum as she walked out of the cabin and folded herself neatly into a cross legged position so she could pull on her shoes.
The thought of James appearing during their walk worried her. She nibbled her lip as she thought of everything that might happen. She loved Gabe, so so much. Maybe even a little too much for her own good and she'd never push him away. "It'll take a lot for him to make me leave. A lot more than a few bruises."
Alexis looked up, feeling a new wave of emotions other than her own reach her. Grinning, she pushed herself up from the ground. She started walking to where she felt the waves coming from, seeing his tall frame appear soon. She waved at him, certain that is was Gabe from the waves. She walked closer to him, waiting until she got in ear shot to call out to him. "Gabe, hey!" Smiling, she wrapped her arms around his middle and leaned her head against him. Yeah, this was definitely heaven.
